Often in cosplay photography, a little bit of Photoshop can really add to the fantasy world that an image portrays. Samus’ blaster fire in this Daily Feature is a great example of effects done right. Samus’ eyes are enhanced by the blaster charge, making an intense shot truly powerful.

- Photographer: Tony Quan (qcamera)
- Series: Batman
- Character: Batgirl (Cassandra Cain)
- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TonyQuanFotography
- DeviantArt: http://qcamera.deviantart.com/
Tony Quan gives us a glimmer of hope as he shows us Aku Sesu’s rendition of Batgirl. The sunlight peeking through behind her cape, ominous clouds above her, a breeze gently blowing her hair and lifting her cape, the angle portrays her watching over her city - all elements carefully chosen by this photographer who is a master of his craft.

- Series: Tenjho Tenge
- Character: Maya Natsume and Aya Natsume

They are as deadly as they are beautiful. This shot looks very simple at first until you start to deconstruct it and realize how amazing Hybridre is. The pose is playful and fun, but the way the sisters hold their katanas…well you wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of their blades. The light falls on the wall like Kanji characters, but carefully avoids the cosplayers as to not distract from their deceivingly innocent looks; it takes masterful skill to compose images like this.

Gijinka (a form of moe anthropomorphism) is the personification of something non-human such as Pokémon into something human. Largely popularized by Pokémon it is something quite common with many cosplays. However, to capture the natural environment of these characters is a great thing to do with cosplay photography. Bishop27 captures a Chikorita in its natural environment, searching though the woods, perhaps for a new Pokemon master, or perhaps for a photographer, as seen here. Bishop27 captures the wonder that many Pokémon have in their natural environment as they explore their world. Calm, serene, and full of wonder. Thank you Bishop27 for bringing us this gijinka.

- Photographer: hellsign
- Series: Kamen Rider Black
- Character: Kamen Rider Black
- DeviantArt: http://hellsign.deviantart.com/

Dynamic movement is a highlight of today’s Daily Feature! The position of Kamen Rider off-center and just outside of the frame heightens the tension of the flying debris. A simple background brings the focus to the cosplayer’s wonderful costume and moving arm.

- Photographer: Mizu
- Series: Air Gear
- Character: Ringo Noyamano
- Cosplayer: NekosRocks

A casual wind blows right through today’s Daily Feature! The unique angle giving it a twist, heightens the tension but leaves room for a pleasant afternoon sky. Cosplay might portray a world beyond our own, but a good photographer can hit the right balance between fiction and our ability to connect with the character, we applaud this simple shot!

One of the great things in cosplay photography is creating those intense moments. In this shot brought to us by yuegene, you see the split second where Bayonetta is sliding over the railing ready to fight with two of her four pistols. Her pose evokes her readiness- her left hand gun already pointing towards her enemies and the right ready to do some follow-up damage. The dark background and transports us to a Sin City atmosphere that reminds us why we love great photography.
